Students may find it hard to believe, but teachers also have the jitters on the first day. Jitters is a funny sounding word for being nervous. We always want the first day to be memorable and to ease the jitters of the students. In order to calm our jitters, we decorate our classrooms and make an agenda of what needs to be accomplished on the first day. Having a "To Do" list is a very helpful way to keep your jitters at bay (an idiom meaning to hold back or to make less) and to help you accomplish tasks or goals.
A great way to be successful in the seventh grade is to create "To Do" lists in your agenda while keeping in mind any due dates that may be looming (a very scary sounding word) over you.
Welcome to the Pumas where learning is interesting, intriguing, and fun. We hope you enjoyed your first day with us!
